JobSummaryThis position is responsible to for the coordination and performance of a wide range of accounting and financial functions for Catholic Charities programs. Job Duties/ResponsibilitiesTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to satisfactorily perform each of the essential duties/responsibilities listed below.

Primarily responsible for coordinating and overseeing the day-to-day functions of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and other accounting related staff.

Including backing up these positions if necessary.Responsible for training and coaching direct report staff regarding accounting practices and procedures.Coordinating and or performing various monthly accounting operations including, account reconciliation, bank reconciliation, and monthly allocation, and monthly allocation journal entries.Verifies the accuracy of accounts payable, accounts receivable and cash receipts coding prior to posting.Assists in the maintenance of chart of accounts information structure in the accounting system for CCEW.Prepares periodic non-grant accounts receivable invoices for submission.Monitors restricted contribution and other fund transactions and reports activity and status to applicable programs.Monitoring aging accounts receivables and ensuring timely payment is received.Assists with the preparations for the annual audit and other finance department activities as required.Responsible for picking-up mail at the Post Office and provides backup to the AP Clerk for the distribution of CCFSC mail to department mailboxes as appropriate.As a mandated reporter, follows all procedures outlined in agency policies and procedures to report to the proper agency when there is suspicion and/or confirmation that a child or adult has been a victim of abuse or neglect. Along with job specific duties, the following job responsibilities will be listed on every job descriptionUses appropriate administrative, fiscal, physical, and technical safeguards to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and security of CCEW client protected health information (PHI), per regulations outlined in the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA).Will regularly utilize all forms of communication (email, text, phone, etc.) and database practices necessary for this position and as directed by supervisor.Adheres to the tenets of Catholic Social Teaching and Catholic Doctrine.Performs related functions necessary to support the mission and core values of Catholic Charities. Job QualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must meet the minimum qualifications listed below.

Education/Experience: to perform this job successfully, an individual must have: A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related business field is required.A minimum of three (3) years’ experience in accountingandstrong knowledge of General Ledger; and at least two (2) years supervisory experience in a finance setting is strongly preferred; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience.
