Inland Imaging

This is a Contract position in Spokane, WA posted November 20, 2021.

The Controller is a Full-Time, Regular position working Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm at our Inland Imaging Business Center location. This position has the opportunity to start remotely during the current pandemic.

The Controller is a critical role in the Inland Imaging family of companies, reporting directly to the corporate CFO. The right candidate will have an opportunity for growth as part of our succession planning when the current CFO retires in approximately 5 years.

Summary: The Controller is responsible for the management and maintenance of general accounting systems to provide records of the assets, liabilities, and financial transactions of the organization. Direct budget and cost controls, financial analysis, accounting practices and reports. Analyzes and interprets financial data and recommends changes to improve systems and financial performance for all companies as assigned.

General Description: Manages accounting functions. Prepares reports and statistics reflecting financial performance, profits, cash balances, or other financial results. Responsible for the following accounting systems: accounts payable, non-patient accounts receivable, non-physician payroll, cash management. Supervises assigned professional/clerical accounting employees. Communicates with other departments regarding interaction of activities, projects, new services and schedules. Implements and reviews operating procedures.

Manages all accounting activities of at least 5 of our separate client entities including GL maintenance, account reconciliations, production of monthly financial statements, and annual budget preparation
Supervises Payroll, Purchasing, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable teams
Prepares proforma analysis for new business ventures
Analyzes and interprets financial data, direct budget and cost controls to meet annual and monthly targets
Understands both the organization’s and client’s contractual financial obligations to ensure compliance manage accounts payable and payroll staff
Provides guidance and expertise on both GAAP and cash based reporting to others in the department
Manages banking and insurance carrier relationships
Works with outside tax preparers and our third-party 401(k) administrator regarding plan administration and works with other vendors as needed
Drives continuous improvement to both systems and processes in the accounting functions as well as other functional areas of our clients
Assists and backs up CFO in managing other department functions and in our client interactions with shareholders, boards and executive teams
Other special projects and duties as assigned.

Performs other duties as required by displaying team spirit and self-growth, accepting and performing other projects and responsibilities, and requesting other projects and responsibilities.
Attendance is required for this position.
Rotates to other shifts and locations as needed.

Education: Four year Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or other related field
Experience: Ten years minimum of Accounting/Finance experience required; healthcare experience is a plus
Two years supervisory experience required
Strong working knowledge of both GAAP and cash based reporting
Working knowledge of producing complete and accurate monthly financial statement reporting packages for multiple companies
Ability to work in a high production environment and respond quickly and effectively under pressure and deadlines while maintaining a positive attitude
Superior analytical and problem-solving skills, with demonstrated ability to provide creative solutions to real-time challenges
Ability to properly manage and prioritize resources, people and projects in a fast paced constantly changing organization
Team player, with strong leadership skills
Advanced written and oral communication skills to effectively disseminate information to shareholders, leadership teams and employees through various methods including Powerpoint and Word documents
High Proficiency with Excel

Certifications: CPA required
Computer Skills : Experience with the following computer applications is highly desired: Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point, Access, Visio, Publisher), Workday; Internet, Intranet
