We are looking for an experienced & hands-on Controller to add to the team with this newly created position.

Reporting to the CFO, and based out of our Spokane headquarters, the Controller will plan and direct the accounting operations of the company and provide financial reporting to management, the board of directors and owners.nn nn nn nn Supervisory Responsibilities: nn nnOversees the operations of the Accounting Department, which include accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, payroll, and financial reporting.nn nnOversees training programs and identifies training needs.nn nn nn nnDuties/Responsibilities:nn nnAssesses, improves, and maintains a documented system of accounting policies and procedures; implements a system of controls over accounting transactions to minimize risk.nn nnManage the monthly financial close process, including analysis of the balance sheets and income statements.nn nnEstablishes and enforces consistent accounting practices throughout the company and its subsidiaries.nn nn Oversees the production of periodic financial reports; ensures that the reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles.

nn nnPartners with the CFO and Senior Analyst to develop and monitor business performance metrics.nn nnProduces the annual budget and forecasts; reports significant budget differences to management.nn nnProvides financial analysis, with emphasis on capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations.nn nnWorks with external auditors and tax return preparers and provides needed information for the annual audit/review.nn nnEnsures compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements.nn nnPerforms other related duties as necessary or assigned.nn nn nn nnRequired Skills/Abilities:nn nnExcellent management and leadership skills.nn nnExcellent written and verbal communication skills.nn nnExcellent organizational and time management skills.nn nnStrong attention to detail, analytical skills, and ownership of work.nn nnHighly Proficient in accounting software.nn nnProficient in Microsoft Office Suite; advanced Excel skills and collaborative tools preferred.nn nn nn nn nn nnEducation and Experience:nn nn Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration required.nn nnFive years or more of accounting operation related supervisory experience required.nn nnCertified Public Accountant or Certified Management Accountant designation preferred.nn nn .nn nn nn n n Job Requirements: n

– BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, Economics or other business related field

– Outstanding technology, analytics and management experience required
– Able to build and deliver effective presentations to audiences with wide-ranging backgrounds
– Monthly Financials experience
– Demonstrated knowledge of Consolidated Financial Statements
– Adeptness in financial reconciliation
– Comprehensive knowledge of general ledger
