Medical Office Receptionist

Longevity Health Center

This is a Full-time position in Spokane, WA posted June 24, 2021.

***REQUIRED FOR EMPLOYMENT*** * Minimum 2 years medical receptionist experience * Minimum 1 year Customer service Status: Full-time, non-exempt Salary: DOE, starts at $14
– $ per hour Benefits: 5 days paid holiday time per year, vacation time awarded after 2,000 hours of employment Schedule: Monday 8:15am-6:00pm Tuesday 8:15am-6:00pm Wednesday 8:15am-6:00pm Thursday 8:15am-6:00pm Must be available to work Saturdays.

Attend to patients on the phone and in person.

Provide exceptional and compassionate customer service.

Coordinate and schedule appointments to facilitate the daily operations of Longevity Health Center and support the delivery of quality patient care.

Duties and Responsibilities
– Provide exceptional and compassionate customer service.

– Greet, check in, and check out all patients in the office.

– Collect payment for copays, balances, and supplements.

– Answer incoming calls in a professional and courteous manner.

– Obtain necessary patient information to meet current Federal guidelines and Meaningful Use guidelines for medical records.

– Scan pertinent patient information into EMR or add information to the patient chart.

– Schedule any necessary appointments after completion of patient visit.

– Professionally assist providers, staff, and patients.

– Monitor and review patient schedules for the next day.

– Maintain confidentiality of all doctor, staff, and patient information.

– Accurately enter patient payment and claims information into AMD each day.

– Identify and resolve minor patient billing complaints.

Forward major billing complaints to Keystone Billing.

– Assist in ordering, receiving, and stocking of office and treatment supplies.

– Maintain cleanliness of facilities.

– Adhere to policy and procedures during all activities.

– Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience
– Minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent.

– At least one year of relevant experience and/or training.

– Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively, clearly, and honestly.

– Knowledge of current medical terminology in order to communicate with physicians, staff, and patients.

– Ability to work independently on assigned tasks, as well as accept direction on given assignments.

– Proficient computer skills, including working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, email systems, and web-based programs.

– Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
