This position will serve as a bridge to the Nurse Aide Trainee Program and assist with resident care by providing unit support with the non-direct care activities listed below.

Responsibilities: Provides and assists residents with daily and periodic needs such as reading, letter writing, arranging closets, etc.Makes beds, labels personal care items, assists residents in closet and dresser arranging, puts resident clothing away.Pass trays and perform meal set up; open packets, remove covers, open containers, after training.Transport residents to activities, outdoors or as directed by Unit Manager/Supervisor.Accompany resident to appointments that do not require transfer or other areas of personal care.Report all changes in the residents condition to the Charge Nurse/Unit Manager as soon as practical.Perform nail care for assigned residents after training by Clinical Nurse Educator.May assume other unit based activities as assigned by the Unit Manager.QualificationsEducation: High school education or equivalent
