Packages include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability insurance, flexible spending accounts, retirement, tuition benefits, and other University-provided benefits.We also provide numerous resources which help bring balance to the complexities of work and personal life through our work/life and wellness programs.Job Description:Gonzaga University is currently recruiting for two FXD Clinical Placement Coordinators.The clinical placement coordinators are responsible for conducting clinical placement operations and processes to include planning, developing, coordinating and maintaining student clinical placements of the graduate nursing practicum.One year appointments, renewable annually up to three years in total. Renewal will be contingent upon a positive performance evaluation, and your continued availability and interest. Telecommuting is an option for one of the positions.Minimum Qualifications:• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or related field and current State of Washington RN license or eligibility to obtain an unencumbered Washington state RN license• Experience in nursing practice, education, or administration.• Knowledge of basic medical terminology and types of advanced nursing roles.• Knowledge of basic healthcare organizations, behavioral health, and clinic systems.• Excellent computer-based organizational skills.• Excellent public relations skills using proper etiquette both electronic and interpersonally.• Self-starter who is able to develop and maintain excellent working relationships with multiple coordinator/healthcare providers at many institutions and clinics.• Able to communicate clearly, professionally, and calmly with people expressing frustration.• Able to keep updated records and attend to details despite much change.• Able to create and improve systems for the organization of many variables (e.g., maintain accurate and detailed reports and records).• Able to remain flexible and effectively perform the job during unexpected situations or changing conditions.• Able to show a high level of dedication by following through with commitment, in a reliable and communicative manner.• Able to manage time to accomplish tasks efficiently and effectively (e.g., multi-task) to meet deadlines.• Able to reach out to appropriate sources to get the resources or find information needed to be successful.• Ability to support students with diverse backgroundsDesired Qualifications:• Ability to learn and apply knowledge of APRN clinical components in nursing education.• Ability to learn and apply knowledge about cultural competence in academic and healthcare settings.• Existing relationship and/or the ability to develop and maintain a relationship with healthcare entities in WA (particularly western WA), OR, ID, MT.• Ability to learn and apply knowledge of all applicable state and federal standards, requirements, and regulations.• Ability to learn and apply knowledge of the principles, practices, and methods of precepting within a graduate nursing education setting.• Ability to learn and apply knowledge of MSN program objectives, course sequencing, and individual course clinical requirements.• Experience working effectively in an environment subject to limited supervision requiring independent decision-making.• Experience working collaboratively with a variety of diverse stakeholders with energy and enthusiasm.EEO Statement:Gonzaga University is a Jesuit, Catholic, humanistic institution, and is therefore interested in candidates who will contribute to its distinctive mission.
