Human Resource Manager

Spokane Public Facilities District

This is a Full-time position in Spokane, WA posted November 21, 2021.

NATURE OF WORK:

Performs comprehensive human resources work, including the administration of multiple employee benefit plans.

Considerable independent professional judgment is exercised in solving problems within the assigned work area.

Employee makes regular outside contacts to obtain or supply factual information.

Duties are sedentary in nature, performed under normal working conditions, and require normal attention to prevent errors.

SUPERVISION:

Employee works under limited supervision.

Plans and arranges own work, referring only unusual cases to the supervisor.

Employee may be responsible for assigning and checking the work of other employees.

Reports to the Chief Executive Officer and works closely with the Directors.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Ability to manage Human Resources, assures compliance with federal, state, and local employment rules and regulations.

Maintains employee records.

Oversees the solicitation, hiring, rewarding, disciplining and termination of employees.

Conducts or coordinates guest services and human resources-related training.

Manages all aspects of employee benefits programs.

Plans and organizes employee related events, such as meetings, tournaments, and other types of employee functions.

Assists in the planning, development, and implementation of departmental human resources policies and the design of related forms.

Acts as a culture ambassador by articulating and modeling the organization’s values and plays a valuable role in ensuring a positive work culture and employee engagement.

Performs related work as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS OF WORK:

Considerable knowledge of the principles and practices of public human resources administration and the applicable laws.

Knowledge of wage and salary administration, surveys, and procedures.

Considerable knowledge or the principles and practices of contract administration and the applicable laws.

Knowledge of, and ability to operate, a personal computer, internet-based systems, and email.

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relations.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university.

SALARY: $75,000
– $95,000 STATUS: Administrative
– Exempt
