Human Resources Manager – Spokane, WA

This is a Full-time position in Spokane, WA posted November 23, 2021.

Cd’A Metals is a wholly owned subsidiary of Norfolk Iron & Metal, is one of the largest family-owned steel service centers in the nation.

This position will be based out of the Spokane, Washington facility but also supports employees in two retail centers in Coeur D’Alene, Idaho, and Missoula, Montana.

The HR Manager is a key member of the Branch Leadership Team and will act as a liaison between the branch and the corporate headquarters.

This role will effectively administer the corporate-driven functions of employee benefits, compensation, and payroll in addition to effectively communicating and supporting company policies and procedures.

Here are some things you will be doing:
Planning and coordinating employee events
Ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
Coaching and counseling employees
Recruit, interview, hire, and onboard employees
Review time cards and leave requests to ensure payroll data is accurate
Support corporate initiatives by communicating to employees and training when needed
Manage L&I claims with the support of the Corporate Safety Director
Here’s what we require of you:
Have at least 3 years of direct Human Resources experience
Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check
Above average written and verbal communication skills
Experience working with an HRIS
Strong problem-solving abilities
Excellent work ethic!
