Visit our website at www.rocket.com for more information on how our employees Power the Future.We are seeking an Information Technology, Information Technology Sr Analyst – Level 3/4 to provide Sr Analyst Network Engineering leadership for network architecture, design, and operational oversight for the Aerojet Rocketdyne enterprise network, which would include the secure integration of cloud service providers and private networks for factories, test areas, and classified secure networks.This role will be located at any of the following Aerojet Rocketdyne locations:Sacramento, CALos Angeles, CAHuntsville, ALWest Palm Beach, FLRedmond, WA (Seattle area)Stennis Space Center, MSThis role requires occasional travel to other Aerojet Rocketdyne facilities within the United States, up to 10%.Aerojet Rocketdyne has a Flexible Work Policy.

– Develop technical network solutions and frameworks and lead network hardware and software upgrade plans.

Develop secure WAN/LAN/Firewall network architectures for on premises and cloud networks that meet industry standards and Cybersecurity requirements.

Develop and deliver professional architecture and design documentation that will provide guidelines for implementation.

Perform network planning, modeling, and analysis in partnership with IT industry suppliers.

Partner with network and security technology suppliers and maintain currency with new technology and industry trends.30%
– Lead Cloud service design and operations with specific focus on network integration with other cloud services.

Experience with Microsoft Azure and AWS core service offerings.

Advanced foundational processes to drive process and cost efficiencies within Cloud platforms and service offerings.

Advanced integration of Cloud service offerings with business functional applications and private networks.20%
– Develop network architecture and designs which meet Cybersecurity requirements such as CMMC, NIST 800-171, NIST 800-53 and support audits and vulnerability assessment as required by internal audit and external accrediting agencies.

Design, implement and manage security countermeasures in partnership with Cybersecurity to mitigate network vulnerabilities.

Provide mitigation support of audits and compliance actions, necessary documentation, and deliverables to support compliance.10%
– Provide oversight and technical guidance for Level 3 incident tickets and leadership for resolution of network related Severity 1 and 2 incidents.RequirementsBachelor’s degree in an appropriate discipline and six (6) years directly related experience in network, server, and security infrastructure or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Additional Qualifications: The successful individual will have strong Wide Area and Local Area networking skills in enterprise level network architectures, private segmented network integrations, switches, routers, and firewalls in on premise and cloud environments.

At least 5 years of experience in deploying and maintaining data networking systems including routers, switches, firewalls and load balancing platforms with specific experience in configuring and troubleshooting of Network devices such as Cisco Routers Switches, Wireless Controllers, Access Points, Identity Services Engine (ISE), and Network Access Control configurations using Cisco ISE.

Analyzes/maintains/administers LAN/WAN systems, including ADMI and SDWAN technologies, including planning, designing, evaluating, selecting, and upgrading operating systems and protocol suites and configuring communication media with concentrators, bridges, and other devices.

Resolves interoperability problems to obtain operations across all platforms, including email, file transfer, multimedia, teleconferencing, etc.

The engineer shall also have an in-depth knowledge of routing protocol such as RIP, EIGRP, BGP, OSPF, and Palo Alto / Panaroma / Fortigate Firewall configuration experience.

Demonstrates a strong understanding and practical experience with technologies such as MPLS, VPLS, VPNs, IPSEC tunnels, and specifically Cisco Advanced AnyConnect configurations.

Desirable to have thorough knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques used in managing help desk, network troubleshooting, and support, as well as active directory enterprise, network management software and tool suites (i.e NetIQ, Nagios & MRTG).

In addition, requires competence in systems analysis and technical writing to support SOPs.

Designing architecture to include the software, hardware and communications to support the total requirements.

Ensuring that the network/transport layers of the common operating environment are compliant.

Hands-on industry experience within one or more of the following cloud platforms: Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud Platform specifically design and configuration network / firewall / authentication services in the cloud, such as VNET, NSG, Peering, Express Route, Virtual Network Gateway, Hub and Spoke Topology, Application Gateway Networking.

Evaluating analytically and systematically problems of work flows and network usage, organization and planning and develops appropriate corrective action.

Providing daily supervision and direction to staff.

Ability to configure CISCO routers and switches locally and remote.

Expert knowledge of TCP/IP protocols (emphasis on Multicast) and Doman Name Systems (DNS), network architectures and associated equipment including, but not limited to zones, screening devices, and typical design.

Systems Expert on email delivery, specifically including all aspects of POP3 and SMTP.

Familiarity with direct attached and network attached storage devices, protocols and techniques to include iSCSI.

Understanding of Virtual Machines (VM) and knowledge of VM configurations.

CISSP, Cisco (CCNA/CCDA/CCNP/CCDP/CCSP/ CCIE) and or Microsoft (MCSA/MCSE) desired.

Strong documentation skills and ability to document and diagram solutions using tools like MS Visio.

Ability to build and maintain customer relationships, be a team player, meet deadlines and adjust to changing priorities.

Capable of addressing and resolving IT issues proactively, promptly, effectivity and independently.

Flexible mindset to evaluate and prioritize work with a sense of urgency.

Discipline to understand and participate in change control, checklists, and repeatable processes.

Demonstrate self-reliance and resourcefulness and remain calm and professional while effectively handling multiple demands.

Network design and integration experience in Department of Defense and NASA environments.May be required to obtain and maintain a U.S.

Security Clearance at the appropriate level.
