Service Desk Technician

IT Support Specialist | Spokane, WA
We are seeking an individual to provide IT support to a local company here in Spokane, WA.
Provides support services to internal and/or external users for software, applications, hardware, and telecommunications related issues. Troubleshoot core applications, Microsoft applications, hardware errors, and Operating System. Collect information, open tickets, perform triage, and resolve or escalate issues related to new hardware/software requests, network, application software and telecommunications to the appropriate staff.
Team Leaders will provide training and real time assistance to the team
Primary Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Utilize documented processes to provide hardware and software support onsite and over the phone to end users
  • Fulfills first-responder customer help desk functionality by receiving, interpreting and responding to trouble incidents though multiple mediums; records and logs all pertinent data concerning trouble calls through ticketing system.
  • Properly escalates unresolved issues to the next level of support and/or tracks, routes and redirects problems to correct resources.
  • Ensures proper recording, documentation and incident closure- including all successful and unsuccessful decisions made, and actions taken, through to final resolution.
  • Administers support and troubleshoots various issues hardware and software issues, including on-the-spot problem solving for end users.
  • Perform remote fixes at the desktop level, including installing and upgrading software, installing hardware, implementing file backups, and configuring systems and applications.
  • Perform post-resolution follow ups to help requests as needed.
  • Provide end-user “how to” assistance.
  • Other duties as assigned.


  • Associates degree in Computer Sciences, Technical Training, Bachelor degree in Computer Sciences in progress or recently completed.
  • 1-3 years of technical support experience
  • Knowledge of desktop and laptop computer hardware.
  • Experience in the use of the Microsoft Office tool set.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good customer service skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
