The Associate Rate Analyst partners closely with and plays a supporting role to the Rate Analysts (RAs) and Sr.

Rate Analysts (SRAs) that steadily augments their understanding of the Rates Analysis products and processes.

The Associate Rate Analyst is responsible for working closely with the RAs and SRAs to assemble all key pieces of client, utility, and regulatory information needed for the RA or SRA’s analysis and for updating existing mathematical rate models for their use.

Once the Associate Rate Analyst masters these supportive functions, the Associate Rate Analyst is expected to accurately complete electric and gas rate analysis tasks for low complexity level utility tariff structures.

Associate Rate Analysts must demonstrate the ability to examine low to mid complexity level tariffs before being considered for a promotion to Rate Analyst.

FunctionAggregate and prepare client usage history (via bill images or electronic files) for use by RAs and SRAs on the Rates Analysis team.

Coordinate with applicable internal contacts to obtain any missing client information needed.In close coordination with the RAs and SRAs, review the regulated tariff structures for low to mid-complexity level electric and gas utilities as assigned, making necessary updates to those rate models are needed; this support oriented task is designed to expose the Associate Rate Analyst to a broad range of rate structures and tariff language.Demonstrate the skillsets necessary to examine low complexity level tariffs as the Associate Rate Analysts matures in the role.

Contact utility providers and ask clarifying tariff and/or billing questions as needed.Assist the RAs and SRAs in organizing the necessary data and materials for sales tax exemption projects, utilizing this support oriented role to gain familiarity with state and local tax regulations and applicable sales tax exemption opportunities.Coordinate and complete the processing of local sales tax exemption requests on behalf of Rates Analysis clients.Assist the RAs and SRAs in organizing the necessary data and materials for historical utility bill audits, utilizing this support oriented role to gain familiarity with the historical utility bill audit process and tracking tools.Partner with SRAs to complete entry level historical utility bill audit projects in order to gain additional exposure to the audit process.Fulfill Associate Rate Analyst level departmental training requirements as outlined by the Rates Analysis Department Training ProgramQualificationsDo you tick all the boxes?We are looking fortalented and motivated peopleto create the future ofsustainability transition.
