Job Description/requirements:
This position serves as a change agent and value-creator, aligning CRM solutions with business strategies via needs assessment, analysis, documentation, clear communication, and ongoing support. This position builds strong, collaborative working relationship with internal business units, ITS staff, and external stakeholders.
This position works with business partners to understand directions and priorities to assure the delivery of quality solutions. It is responsible for the collection, analysis, documentation, and coordination of business partners’ business requirements.

  • Partner with functional owners to understand specific business needs, evaluate the effectiveness with which those needs are being met, and identify opportunities for increased efficiencies through effective utilization of Gonzaga’s CRM solutions. Translate, document, and communicate these business needs as user stories and/or business requirements.
  • Prepare for and conduct requirement elicitation activities, gathering critical information from meetings with various stakeholders. Ensure business goals, initiative objectives, and success metrics are captured.
  • Confirm elicitation results with project team and end users.
  • Analyze and document business operations – decomposing functional processes and defining future state, business operations impact, and value creation for the organization.
  • Help business stakeholders envision how their business processes/work will be impacted by the technology solution, and act as a change agent to support their desired future state.


  • Produce effective documentation of project and system deliverables – within the scope of business analysis. Documents may include business/functional requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria, gap analysis, data flow diagrams, process flow diagrams, business case presentation, end-user training guides, meeting minutes, discussions and agreements, etc.
  • Create/update new user or procedural documentation when new processes arise.
  • Diagram current and future state.
  • Contribute to project documents and logs (when applicable) for: Risks, Issues, Decisions, and Action Items.
  • Collaborate with development team to document deployed changes in system change log.
  • Conduct post-project evaluation of own performance and efficacy of employed business analysis tactics.

Customer Support

  • Monitor, investigate, resolve, or escalate CRM technical support cases and user questions within 24 business hours.
  • Effectively communicate and collaborate with university colleagues, cross-functional team members, technical staff, managerial/executive staff, and external partners.
  • Navigate various cultures and personalities within the university effectively, building a positive reputation for the team and the CRM projects.
  • Provide backup support and assistance to other team members.
