Description The Business Intelligence (BI) Team at WTB is helping shape the future of the bank.

The Business Intelligence (BI) Engineer is a senior member of the team developing solutions to improve and enhance the bank’s data architecture.

The primary duties of the role center on landing new data into the bank’s Data Vault and Enterprise Data Warehouse, as well and designing and developing data models for our business users.

This role will also assist in building out a data dictionary, mastering data, and assisting in the development of a mature data governance program.

WHAT TO EXPECT: You’ll be participating in design discussions You’ll be an integral part of our Data Vault and Data Warehouse development effort You’ll be using the Microsoft BI Stack to build reporting solutions You’ll be a member of an experienced team focused on developing BI solutions to help transform the bank You’ll be encouraged to learn new tech, research ideas and influence direction You’ll have opportunities to learn from as well as mentor others You’ll have support to grow your skills and advance your career QUALIFICATIONS: You understand dimensional data modeling techniques You are capable of supporting and scaling BI solutions You have experience troubleshooting BI tools and applications You are able to monitor the modify the efficiency of existing BI systems You embrace learning and encourage open/honest communication amongst team members You embrace new ideas and working within a team to bring them to life You take it upon yourself to sharpen your skills and never stop learning You take pride in your work and embrace methods to ensure quality You enjoy mentoring and embrace being mentored as well You’re a good communicator and enjoy working with others SKILLS: Experience processing raw data using ETL tools and custom scripts Microsoft BI Stack (SSIS, SSRS, SSAS, Power BI) Database and dimensional data warehouse development Advanced T-SQL development Other: Team Foundation Services, git, Visual Studio, Agile/Scrum Experience with WhereScape Red a plus Worked in the financial services industry (not required) The contractor will not discharge or in any other manner discriminate against employees or applicants because they have inquired about, discussed, or disclosed their own pay or the pay of another employee or applicant.
