Business Reporting Analyst

This is a Full-time position in Spokane, WA posted January 16, 2022.

Northwest Farm Credit Services is in search of a Business Reporting Analyst to join our Business Reporting department in our Spokane, Washington-Headquarters location.

As a member-owned financial cooperative, we help business owners in agriculture, forestry and fisheries secure the financing they need to operate and grow, and the crop insurance they need to protect their livelihoods.

Our customers are primarily located in Montana, Idaho, Oregon, Washington and Alaska.

This full-time position reports to the Director-Business Reporting.

The Business Reporting Analyst collaborates with internal stakeholders as an intermediary between the business and technical community to design, build, test, and support ad hoc and systematic reports that satisfy financial and regulatory reporting requirements, measure and support strategic initiatives, and enhance and facilitate corporate decision making capabilities with current state and predictive analytics.

This position is responsible for collecting, clarifying, and translating business reporting requirements into documentation and conceptual design from which solutions are developed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Works with internal stakeholders, including IT project teams and business clients, to develop high-level requirements that align reporting solutions with intended business outcomes.
Clearly articulates and documents business requirements including communications, training needs, and procedures.
Creates management reports utilizing PowerBI, Business Objects, and SQL querying.
Develops recommendations for achieving business outcomes including cost/benefit analysis.
Participates in solutions design, using appropriate tools and models to ensure usability, and that interface needs and stated business outcomes are met.
Participates in building and testing solutions used to achieve stated business outcomes.
Delivers quality solutions, including effective communications to ensure adoption of new processes across the organization.
Serves as a technical resource for supporting mission critical data.
Trains Northwest FCS staff to use the FPI Business Reporting toolset..
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, Accounting, or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Two years’ progressively responsible experience as a Business Analyst or a similar role, ideally in financial institution operations.
Ability to identify areas for process improvement and translate ambiguous business needs into functional requirements.
Familiarity with databases, data integration and mining, and analysis tools.
Strong knowledge and ability to utilize Microsoft Excel.
Financial institution experience is preferred.
