CBRA/Access Specialist

Job SummaryThis position is responsible for facilitating and supporting access to remote or virtual services for households in permanent supportive housing and shelter programs administered by Catholic Charities Eastern Washington, and service as the main point of contact for the Community Behavioral Health Rental Assistance Program (CBRA), administered by CCEW.

These clients are persons who may have a recent history of homelessness, along with barriers to employment, recovery, mental health, etc.

This position will assist clients in being able to successfully attend important appointments including remote court services, but also access to various telehealth options, and other services throughout the community that are essential for the stabilization of the household.

This position will also interface with case managers from CCEW and other service organizations to administer rental assistance.

The Integrated Case Management team requires employees to maintain commitment to the principles of trauma informed care, housing first, harm reduction and client-driven care.Catholic Charities is committed to providing a competitive wage and benefits package.Job Duties/ResponsibilitiesTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to satisfactorily perform each of the essential duties/responsibilities listed below.

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties/responsibilities of this job.* Assist clients in accessing court services remotely.* Create and maintain schedules with clients and service providers, including facilitating requisite private spaces as necessary.* Assist clients accessing other virtual telehealth services, and other essential services offered remotely.* Communicate with case managers and other members of the client’s integrated care team to ensure coordinated delivery of services.* Work with community partners to facilitate virtual meetings/appointments.* Help clients, case managers, and other partners troubleshoot issues and barriers related to remote service provision as they arise.* Serve as a point of contact for case managers in the community for the CBRA program.* Check the CBRA mailbox daily, accepting referrals and answering questions.* Perform CBRA inspections, ensure all proper documentation is collected, and create check requests for CBRA payments.* Other duties as assigned.Other duties/responsibilities:* Ability to incorporate feedback from clients and supervisors in a thoughtful, reflective manner.* Practice timely and complete file documentation management per program requirements.* Meet deadlines assigned by the Program Coordinator, Assistant Director and/or Program Director.* Follow all COA standards of training, professional development and care for participants.* Provide outreach services as required.* Complete other duties as assigned.* Check email at least 2x per work day.* Uses appropriate administrative, fiscal, physical, and technical safeguards to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and security of CCEW client protected health information (PHI), per regulations outlined in the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA).* As a mandated reporter, follows all procedures outlined in agency policies and procedures to report to the proper agency when there is suspicion and/or confirmation that a child or adult has been a victim of abuse or neglect.* Accurately accounts for time worked according to agency standards.* Adheres to the tenets of Catholic Social Teaching and Catholic Doctrine.* Performs related functions as assigned to support program success as well as the mission and core values of Catholic Charities.Job QualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must meet the minimum qualifications listed below.

These qualifications are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required to perform this job.Education/Experience: To perform this job successfully, an individual must have a BA in Psychology, or Social Work, or related field from an accredited academic institution or equivalent experience.

Preference given to individuals with lived experiences with chemical dependency or mental health disorders.

Ability to use virtual tools such as laptops, tablets, smart phones, etc.Certificates/Licenses: Must have a valid Driver’s License and ability to drive for work.
