Supporting the Most Exciting and Meaningful Missions in the WorldChief of PartyMacfadden, a PAE company, is seeking Chief of Party (COP) candidates for anticipated USAID programming in the sectors of stabilization, civic engagement, governance, conflict management, and grant making.

 OverviewThe COP is responsible for the overall management, oversight, and compliance of the program and to represent the program to USAID and ensure deliverables are achieved.

The COP will work closely with USAID and other sector partners, as directed by USAID.The desirable COP is an experienced leader who understands how to manage staff and activities to deliver in the world’s most challenging environments for complex and USAID-intensive management programming.Responsibilities includeLeadership, mentoring, support, and duty of care for all program staffProvide implementation and technical leadership and direction for all activities of the programRepresent the program to USAID and other U.S.

representatives and international organizations and representatives and entities, as required by USAIDEnsure deliverables are met and lessons learned are captured to regularly inform program developmentEnsure compliance and adherence to USAID rules and regulationsSupport and mentor the program team, facilitating their successful implementation of the programQualifications includeAdvanced degree in a relevant field, including international relations, international development, conflict assistance, or other related fieldAt least 10 years of experience managing a team and program relevant to the activities of this program, including USAID Chief of Party experience and stabilization, responsive interventions, remote operations, transition and conflict programming, governance, and grant making;Experience managing complex and challenged programming in fragile and conflict environments;Experience developing program strategy and technical guidance in conflict, stabilization, governance, civil society, and transition programmingExperience in grants’ programming;Project management and operations’ experience including operations, staffing, contracts, procurement, finance, budget, and schedule;Experience with iterative monitoring, evaluation, research, and learning for responsive programming;Experience with managing a diverse, multicultural team in an insecure, remote, conflict, and foreign environment and for USAID;Experience working in fragile or conflict countries on development, stabilization, or transition supportFinancial management experience, including budget, audit, finance, procurement, and reportingUnderstanding of USG FAR and USAID ADS contracts, grants, and compliance;Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in English (verbal and written) and present and respond to information requests on a regular basis to USAID PAE is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
