Position: Claims Auditor II

Start date: December 2021

Location: REMOTE (must live 2 hours from Spokane or Seattle)

The claims Associate II is responsible for the accurate and timely review, entry, and resolution of insurance claims, and for interpreting procedures and policies to ensure accurate claims resolution.

The claims Associate II is responsible for the accurate and timely review, entry, and resolution of insurance claims, and for interpreting procedures and policies to ensure accurate claims resolution.

Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED.
Ability to perform basic mathematics.
6-12 months in-team work & customer service experience.
Ability to learn, interpret and apply technical information quickly and accurately.
Ability to work quickly and accurately with detailed information.
Strong PC experience including the ability to key data into a system, navigate across multiple screens and document types, interpret simple error messages and respond appropriately, and transmit/print information accurately and quickly.
Nice to haves:
Six (6) months claims processing/medical and/or dental office billing experience.
Familiarity with medical and/or dental coding, coding schemes and equivalent English nomenclature.
Six (6) months in-team work experience to support claims entry positions.
Responsibilities:
Review, analyze, and resolve claims through the utilization of procedures, reference materials, and online tools for moderately complex claims.
Responsible for accurately coding claims through the system.
Translate data into information acceptable to the claims processing system including follow-up on pended claims.
Prepare claims for return to Provider or Subscriber when additional information is needed.
Maintain confidentiality of all documents/files.
