CRA Mortgage Development Coordinator

DescriptionThe CRA Mortgage Development Coordinator is responsible for supporting the mortgage lenders in CRA specific market outreach. Provides community education opportunities target specifically to low-to-moderate income borrowers and areas.Essential FunctionsDevelop market outreach activities by managing and developing ongoing community campaigns with realtors, builders, financial planners, and other mortgage and finance members of the community for homebuyer education.Partner with marketing to create business plans to implement campaigns from existing marketing materials for prospects, current clients, and past clients, ensuring campaigns are inclusive of all local area MLOs, in additional to personal business development.Maintain a pipeline of CRA business, including state housing and local area down payment assistance programs.Analyze reports on pipeline management for reporting on compliance issues with local area lenders to track the results from targeted CRA activity, including impact of LMI borrowers and community outreach, production, and impact.Manage vendor lead distribution and research competitive conditions in markets related to price, service, and programs, focused on CRA development.Provide training and education to branch employees regarding product questions, cross training programs, CRM and pipeline management.Provide on-boarding to new MLOs with the goal of understanding CRA and meeting and exceeding market penetration in LMI communities.Promote homeownership through community outreach efforts, specifically in the communities designated by the Bank’s CRA Officer.Demonstrate inclusive marketing efforts to develop new leads, loans, and bank relationships. Conduct first time homebuyer seminars multiple times throughout each year.Work with CRA Officer and Compliance team to track and benchmark CRA performance and develop fair lending metrics.Participates in special projects or duties as assigned.Performs compliance and risk management duties as required or assigned.Regular, reliable attendance is required.QualificationsHigh school diploma, GED, or related experience required.Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, and/or related field preferred.NMLS required.3 or more years in the mortgage industry including basic understanding of programs, terminology, market conditions, loan origination software (LOS) and its use.Strong understanding of CRA Programs and their requirements required.Strong detail orientation with high level of organizational skills and ability to multi-task, managing interruptions with multiple projects.Demonstrated self-motivation and initiative; ability to work well both independently and with others.Ability to prioritize assignments and handle multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of service to clients in a deadline driven environment under the direction of management.Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to collaborate with and work effectively with diverse groups of people, managing conflict and negotiating for results when needed.Strong verbal and written communication skills, including ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical people.Preferred experience working in the financial services industry.The contractor will not discharge or in any other manner discriminate against employees or applicants because they have inquired about, discussed, or disclosed their own pay or the pay of another employee or applicant.
