Credit Admin Compliance Coordinator

DescriptionThe Credit Administration Compliance Coordinator is responsible for providing direction for the Credit Administration (including Special Assets) compliance functions. Responsible for developing and ensuring Credit Administration compliance requirements and standards are in place and are consistently maintained. The Credit Administration Compliance Coordinator is responsible for performing and/or directly overseeing compliance related activities within the department to ensure all components of the Compliance Management System and its related components are functioning as required. Additionally, assists other areas of the bank in obtaining, tracking, and communicating Credit Administration compliance information, and may serve as a subject matter expert on project teams.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSProduction:In conjunction with the Special Assets Managers and Chief Credit Officer, develops, implements, and maintains standards for department activities to ensure compliance with regulatory agencies, bank policy, and audits.Prepares detailed reports for management, Corporate Compliance, and Working Groups advising on issues related to control gaps or heightened compliance risk in regards to Credit Administration.Develops and maintains a working knowledge of banking laws and regulations by reading various publications and circulars, attending training, seminars, and meetings with peers.Supports various operational work groups to ensure data integrity, compliance, credit risk, and operational risk requirements are met.Ensures departmental procedures are updated to reflect changes in law or regulations; oversees and develops changes to procedures to minimize compliance risk and maintain proper controls.Coordinates the distribution and training of policy and procedures for department staff.Partners with Credit Administration department, Compliance department, and other departments served by the Credit Administration team to creatively solve problems, meet internal and external customers’ needs, and improve efficiencies while ensuring bank compliance.Partners with management in each area of oversight to test and implement new products, systems, and procedures.Actively attends Bank training and meetings, building professional relationships with peers and disseminating new information to impacted staff in Credit Administration as needed.Oversees departmental self-testing and certifications of Bank operations, documenting compliance controls related to state and federal regulations and policies and procedures, and maintaining accurate records of department activities.Reinforces the application of superior customer service through their own example along with appropriate follow through with involved customers and employees.Works in conjunction with the Bank’s Compliance Officer(s) and legal counsel to ensure precautionary actions and measures are taken, and assists in attaining established compliance goals as directed by the Director of Operational Risk or the Director of Regulatory Compliance.Supervises assigned work groups to ensure personnel are trained and/or cross-trained to meet department needs and competency requirements.Compliance:Serves as Compliance Lead, working in conjunction with Compliance department and leadership to ensure ongoing compliance with laws and regulations applicable to the department and division, writing and revising policies and procedures as needed, and communicating updates to the team.Conducts self-tests to ensure ongoing compliance, reporting results to the Compliance Department and/or Compliance Committee or Working Groups as neededEnsures staff proficiency and knowledge on current Bank and Division compliance related policies and procedures, identifying training needs and coordinating training for the department.Maintains thorough knowledge of compliance risk as it relates to the Division.Primarily responsible for all regulatory compliance and documentation of same to bank policy.Member of compliance working group.Integrates effective Internal Controls into all applicable work processes.Maintains a working knowledge of Internal Controls with particular attention to Key Controls.Is responsible for ensuring updates to Internal Controls documentation are performed timely when changes in the risk parameters and/or work flow occur.Member of the bank’s Internal Controls/Red Flags Committee, and compliance working groups.Performs compliance and risk management duties as required or assigned.Regular, reliable attendance is required.REQUIREMENTSAssociates or bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field with servicing experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Previous experience in a loan collection or administration environment with specific experience in lending compliance required.CRCM Certification preferred.Demonstrated organizational and analytical skills, strategic thinking and ability to work collaboratively and independently.Ability to complete goals, deadlines and reporting in a timely and accurate manner.Ability to delegate tasks as needed or required to ensure department objectives are met.Demonstrated ability to train and mentor staff.Strong system and process analysis skills of bank products, services and systems.Strong customer service, communication and interpersonal skills.Strong knowledge of Federal and State laws, regulations, and requirements as applicable.Proficient PC skills to navigate Bank software, including Microsoft Suite, and related applications.Procedure documentation experience preferred.Ability to prioritize work projects to meet deadlines as well and well organized work habits.The contractor will not discharge or in any other manner discriminate against employees or applicants because they have inquired about, discussed, or disclosed their own pay or the pay of another employee or applicant.
