Customer Care Specialist

Northwest Farm Credit Services is in search of a Customer Care Specialist to join our Customer Care Team in our corporate headquarters in Spokane, Washington. If you have great customer service and problem solving skills, and a passion for supporting agriculture, this might be the right role for you. This is a temporary, full-time position (Monday-Friday, 8a-5p) that includes full benefits, and is expected to last through the end of December 2021, with potential to transition to regular employment.

The dedicated Customer Care Team is an essential part of Northwest FCS’ commitment to support its customers, and make it easy for them to do business with us.

The highly customer service focused role of Customer Care Specialist is responsible for effectively fielding and resolving customer inquiries related to online banking activities and mobile banking products, and identifying solutions that enhance our customers’ relationship with Northwest FCS.

Comprehensive training will be provided to the successful candidate on the primary duties of this role, which include but are not limited to:

  • Providing phone and email support for customer support needs related to online banking, mobile remote check capture, account statement questions, and general inquiries.
  • Supporting customer online banking portal by fielding login and technical questions, including password resets and account additions.
  • Processing online banking enrollments according to guidelines.
  • Effectively utilizing tools and systems for customer call tracking and transparency.
  • Working closely with online banking support team and other stakeholders to understand and identify customer needs and support through the online banking system.
  • Identifying potential enhancements to the online banking experience and communicates them to supervisor.
  • Performing all duties and maintains all standards in accordance with association policies, procedures and internal controls, and industry regulations.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Strong customer service orientation and communication skills
  • Ability to learn and effectively work in a wide variety of systems

Preferred Qualifications

  • Related work experience, ideally in commercial lending, banking or related field
  • General knowledge of credit and legal terminology
