Digital Engagement Specialist Opportunity Overview

As a Digital Engagement Specialist with Banner Bank you will provide exceptional customer service to clients who contact the bank by email, chat or other digital channels. This will include general information, resolving issues and identifying the need to strengthen the client relationship through cross-sell opportunities.

As a Digital Engagement Specialist with Banner Bank you will have the opportunity to:

  • Provide exceptional client service. Resolve client issues relating to debit card, online banking, deposit accounts and mobile banking transactions through multiple digital media channels including video, phone, email and chat.
  • Provide client and branch support for online and mobile banking to include user login, password and security resets, bill pay and browser issues.
  • Handle client digital correspondence. Proactively assess client’s service needs, resolve inquiries, provide account information, and perform or approve a variety of transactions on the client’s behalf.
  • Actively expanding existing client relationships by cross-selling products and services, or referring clients to appropriate sales staff.
  • Utilize system software to respond to online messages, emails and chat to resolve client service issues.
  • Comply with policies, procedures, security requirements, and government regulations.


Education & Certifications

  • Associate’s Degree in Business, IT, or related area is required.


  • 3 or more years in of experience in a call center, retail banking or operations function is required.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Proven ability to provide professional, accurate, and responsive client service as a trusted advisor. Ability to champion change and process improvements as a subject matter expert. Drive to continuously improve and self manage daily schedule.
  • Proven client service, interpersonal, and relationship building skills.
  • Experience in effective sales and referrals.
  • Possess strong negotiation, customer service, and problem-solving skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills are required.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Willingness to work in a busy team environment and handle changing priorities. Work flexible schedules to meet business needs.
  • Knowledge of federal and state laws and regulations relating to deposit accounts and operations. Proficient in Microsoft Office products with the ability to manage multiple computer applications simultaneously.
