Learn more at www.multicarejobs.orgPosition Summary:The Metabolic & Bariatric Surgical Coordinator/Clinical Reviewer (MBSC/MBSCR) will assess, direct, implement, coordinate and evaluate the effectiveness of the Surgical Weight Loss Program in accordance with MHS policies, objectives and standards and MBSQIP accreditation requirements. Responsibilities include program development, quality review and improvement, patient advocacy, accurate and timely maintenance of MBSAQIP data registry, as well as staff and physician education. The incumbent creates, assists, tracks and teaches data abstraction, measurement, assessment and reporting, unusual occurrence and sentinel event analysis, quality improvement education and training, as well as facilitation of clinical quality improvement teams. Additionally, this person will ensure training and maintenance of competencies and accuracy of all other MBSCR’s in MultiCare Center for Weight Loss and Wellness Surgical program (WLWS).Minimum Requirements:Prior experience with adult obesity preferred3-5 years of experience in Bariatric Surgery, requiredProject management experience preferredEducation/Licenses/Certifications:Bachelor’s Degree in NursingCertification as a bariatric nurse (CBN) preferred and required after hire within 2 years (RN only)MultiCare is an equal opportunity employer.
