Provider Relations Documentation and Training Specialist

OverviewThe Provider Relations Documentation and Training Specialist is responsible for the documentation repository, oversight of the documentation process and approvals, and supporting the Provider Relations team through quality review and training.

The role requires that the individual has the ability to organize, manage and lead documentation processes, prepare new documentation, manage the documentation repository of policies and procedures for Provider Relations, and serve as the primary trainer for new and existing Provider Relation staff.

This role will also facilitate process improvements, standardization of policies and procedures, collaboration across departments, delivery of relevant communication, and the writing and updating of process documentation.As an innovative company promoting oral and overall health, Delta Dental of Washington fosters a patient-focused culture that is grounded in our core values
– Accountability, Courage, Curiosity, Integrity, and Inclusive.Responsibilities Be the single point of contact for Provider Relations documentation requests.

Oversee and lead the documentation process to ensure approval processes are followed.

Create and/or update process documents as needed to ensure accuracy.

Develop and maintain a documentation repository.

Transition Provider Relations documentation to cloud based solution.

Continuously improve Provider Relations quality, effectiveness, and efficiency by maintaining accurate and efficient documentation for Provider Relations teams.

Collaboratively work with other areas of the organization and within Provider Relations to achieve accurate policy and process documentation.

Participate in and lead process improvement activities that support Provider Relations policy and process documentation.

Develop comprehensive training plans to ensure new and existing Provider Relations staff have the knowledge and tools to consistently perform their roles.

Make recommendations and support Provider Relations leadership on employee development and training.

Continually review and update existing training plans, facilitator documents and learner facing training documents to keep current and relevant.

Effectively prepare, plan, and deliver training.

Develop and implement processes and audit training results to ensure effectiveness.

Work closely with department leadership on training, communication, and documentation needs resulting from projects.

Maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Implement effective metrics and processes to ensure data integrity and employee development.

Perform audits after training sessions to determine if knowledge objectives achieved.

Work with staff and leadership to encourage and coach to success.QualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Bachelor’s degree preferred and a minimum of 2 years related experience in technical writing, process documentation, training, and/or adult learning, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite of products required.

Ability to interpret complicated processes into easy to follow documentation required.

Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in written form.

Excellent presentation/facilitation skills.

Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical skills, able to communicate findings, make recommendations, and facilitate change.

Strong passion for delivering outstanding customer service.

Ability to build working relationships with all levels of the organization and across business units.

Ability to be flexible, innovative, and work in an ambiguous environment.

Knowledge of and interest in using computer technologies to improve overall efficiencies.
