Technical Business Systems Analyst

In this exciting and dynamic role with the BAS Retail and Private Bank Services team, you will play an important and integral role in being a Technical Champion for our business partners and the application systems used to support their business functions critical to the Umpqua Bank.

Technical Business Systems Analysts are responsible for designing and performing complex research, testing, and analysis contributing to the implementation and support of business application systems optimized to meet business requirements.

They administer systems configurations and parameters controlling system functionality, while minimizing risk though adherence to change control protocols.**Functions**+ Implement computer system requirements by researching and analyzing system problems; designing and testing standards and solutions.

Trouble-shoot problems to determine cause and recommend technical solution(s) available.+ Administer systems configurations and parameters controlling system functionality.+ Minimize implementation risks through adherence of stringent change management procedures.+ Prepare and publish meeting agendas/topics, provide any pre-reading or participant preparatory materials, lead requirements discussions and document Business or Technical Use Cases, high level Requirements and detailed Functional Requirements/Specifications.

Will also be responsible for organizing, conducting, and documenting Business and Technical requirements for BAS initiatives.+ Translate or relay the meaning of the requirements solution to both business partners and technical resources, such as how business users will use the data, application or process being designed.+ Assist business partners with monitoring development work for adherence to the requirement’s intent.+ Ensure the integrity of the application process life cycle from requirements gathering to design to development to test to deployment by maintaining a requirements traceability matrix throughout the life of any BAS initiative.+ Demonstrate compliance with all bank regulations that apply to your position and keep up to date on regulation changes.+ Maintain working knowledge of our policies and procedures regarding the Bank Secrecy Act, Regulation CC, Regulation E, Bank Security and other regulations that apply to your position**Qualifications**+ 4+ years’ technical bank operations experience, application systems.+ Demonstrate strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills.+ Intermediate knowledge of user acceptance testing methodologies, principles, and practices of process development and implementation along with comprehensive banking/business core applications.+ General knowledge of banking compliance requirements and regulations.+ Banking background helpful along with understanding of banking controls and audit requirements.+ Proficient in Microsoft Office products (TEAMS, Word, Excel, etc.).+ Knowledge of Service Now preferred+ Knowledge of FIS IBS applications preferred+ Knowledge of Agile/Scrum/Kanban methodologies preferred+ Bachelor’s Degree in IT, Finance, Business or related field preferred.**Physical Requirements and Working Conditions**Work involves:+ sitting+ occasional walking+ and lifting up to 10 pounds.+ Limited travelNo relocation is offered.
