Agronomy Sales Representative

International Raw Materials LTD

This is a Full-time position in Spokane, WA posted June 14, 2021.

International Raw Materials LTD (IRM) markets and distributes crop nutrients and industrial commodities through our extensive distribution system. We are committed to connecting agricultural and industrial customers to critical inputs through innovative, safe, and sustainable logistical solutions. Based out of our regional sales office in Spokane, WA, the Agronomy Sales Representative position offers an excellent opportunity for a results-driven leader with crop nutrient and/or industrial commodities sales and marketing managerial experience.

Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Meet and exceed sales volume targets in existing and new markets
  • Sustain and build quality relationships with existing and new customers and business partners
  • Manage sales forecasts for targeted accounts as part of overall corporate strategy 
  • Plan, coordinate and work closely with team members towards shared goals and objectives
  • Provide timely and consistent follow-through with customer inquiries and concerns
  • Keep current on industry trends
  • Identify additional business opportunities to expand product offerings
  • Execute special projects as directed by senior management
  • Represent IRM at industry events and conferences
  • Identify opportunities to improve customer satisfaction levels


Candidate Profile:


  • Minimum 2 years of progressive sales and/or business development experience within the agricultural and/or industrial commodities sectors
  • Bachelor?s degree ideally in Business, Agronomy, or related field
  • Expert level understanding and knowledge of the crop nutrient and industrial commodities sectors at the wholesale and retail levels
  • Ability to discuss product requirements and application methods
  • Entrepreneurial with a self-starting personality, strong work ethic, and ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously
  • A team player with a desire to operate in a dynamic environment
  • Strong negotiating, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills and the ability to effectively communicate and work with others at all levels of the organization
  • Proven ability to think outside of the box to develop new ideas and creative solutions
  • Track record of taking initiative, producing quality work and meeting deadlines
  • Strong computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to travel at least 25% of the time both domestically and internationally
