Major Accounts Account Executive

KWES-TV Midland/Odessa

This is a Contract position in Spokane, WA posted June 5, 2021.

KREM and KSKN TV, A Tegna Co. in Spokane, WA is seeking an experienced Major Accounts – Account Executive to join our sales team. The successful candidate will be a dynamic seller, who will manage a high-volume account list of regional/local agency business. You will be responsible for growing revenue and share by effectively recommending solutions, pricing, negotiating, and packaging our broadcast and premium digital assets. You must be detail-oriented, persuasive, have strong problem-solving skills, and plan strategically to achieve your goals. ​

Responsibilities:

  • Create a strategic plan, by account, to achieve all broadcast and digital sales goals on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis.
  • Grow market share of accounts through effective negotiating of ratings, pricing, leveraging high profile sports, and custom ideation.
  • Uncover Opportunities to develop new revenue utilizing sponsorships, digital solutions, and Premion OTT.
  • Work closely with an account manager to ensure exceptional customer service by:
    • Consistent, appropriate, and timely client communication.
    • Monitoring orders to ensure accurate invoicing.
    • Timely digital reporting and analysis.
  • Manage day-to-day activity in Outlook and CRM
  • Maintain pipeline and accurately forecasts in CRM
  • Travel and entertain clients as needed
  • Other duties as required​

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 3-5 years of media selling experience working with agencies
  • College degree preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience with Nielson ratings methodology
  • Experience with media industry software, i.e., Wide Orbit, Strata, or Media Ocean.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
  • A valid driver’s license with an excellent driving record, proof of insurance, and reliable transportation.
