District Sales Manager — Respiratory Biologics – Seattle WA

As a Respiratory Biologics, District Sales Manager – Seattle WA, you’ll play a pivotal role in channeling our scientific capabilities to make a positive impact on changing patients’ lives.AstraZeneca holds an outstanding position in Respiratory disease, including asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF), with a range of differentiated potential medicines in development by leveraging novel combinations, biologics and devices.

The pipeline also has a number of promising assets in inflammatory and autoimmune diseases within areas such as psoriasis, psoriatic arthritis, gout, systemic lupus and rheumatoid arthritisWhat you’ll doYou will provide inspirational leadership and strategic direction to Biologics Sales Specialists (BSS) in order to successfully achieve performance objectives.

This role requires strong people leadership acumen to develop a high-performing team through effective coaching and mentoring in a highly competitive environment.

The leader will demonstrate a strong understanding of the reimbursement and distribution challenges of a biologics product in order to take a strategic approach to capitalize on marketplace opportunities.

This role requires strong interpersonal and communication abilities resulting in collaboration across functional areas to drive win/win outcomes that align to organizational objectives.You will actively seek to discover and meet the needs of internal and external customers by building relationships, identifying strategic business opportunities, and delivering innovative solutions.

You will manage multiple priorities and resources related to individual and group efforts.

You will be expected to create a motivating team culture that encourages continued growth and provides consistent recognition while challenging the team for continuous self-development in their current role and for future opportunities.

You will take ownership for redirecting efforts as needed to deliver high productivity and quality of work from self and others.

You will be asked to demonstrate strong business ethics, understand basic business principles and interpret resources available to make sound business decision to help achieve standards of business excellence.

You will also be a proactive talent scout for the organization with proven experience attracting, developing and retaining talent.Essential Requirements:Bachelor’s degreeExternal candidates must have 3
– 5 years pharma management experienceInternal candidates must be level 3 and above for considerationMinimum of 3 years of sales experience with track record of strong performanceProven leadership capabilities, financial management, and written & oral communications skillsPosition must be based within the Seattle WA district (Seattle WA & Spokane WA)Desirable RequirementsMasters preferredExperience launching new productsPrevious respiratory, respiratory biologics, biologics, or specialty care experience with existing relationships with HCPsUnderstanding of the reimbursement and distribution challenges of a biologics productPrevious exposure and/or experience in other functional areas of the business, i.e., Sales Training, Customer Solutions, Sales Operations, Managed Care and MarketingExperience in health systems and large group practicesDemonstrated External Scientific Experts (ESEs) engagement and speaker relationshipsPlease note
