Inside Sales Manager – Packaging/Sales Division

Summary: Lead, mentor, and develop the Operational Supplies Specialists by supporting their efforts in building relationships with their customers, driving sales for their assigned territories, expanding their knowledge bases and skillsets.

Maintain the focus on improving the customer’s experience, process optimization, and meeting the corporate goals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Lead the sales team in developing and growing a $20M book of business through direct sales, dealers/distributors, and 3rd party commerce.

Develop the sales goals and metrics.

Work closely with each team member to ensure that they are equipped to meet their goals through strategic efforts and planning.

Ensure all customer issues are handled in a timely manner to ensure customer sanctification.

Remain connected to the customer’s needs, challenges, and market conditions through continual conversations with the team, customer visits, and reading of industry specific information.

Promote a highly communicative, collaboration-oriented atmosphere that allows for each person’s skillsets and ideas to be shared.

Collaborate with the Purchasing, Marketing, and Distribution Center to share pertinent information such as quality/lead-time issues, product details, missed shipments, returns, and credits.

Work closely with the Director of Operational Supplies to develop sales targets, workflows, process improvements, as well as to share critical customer and team information.

Outgoing, self-starter that is results-driven and process oriented.

Excellent organization; verbal and written communication skills.

10-20% travel required, which may fluctuate based to customer visits, tradeshows, and training.

Technological Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) and CRM (Customer Relationship Management) software, as well as with the varying applications within the Microsoft 365 platform (i.e.

Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, Planner, Forms, Lists, Automate, Stream, etc.).

Experience with Infor/SyteLine ERP is preferred as well as eCommerce platforms, PIM (Product Information Management) platforms.

Management Responsibilities: Lead a team of 10 sales specialist including one lead supervisor.

Education and/or Experience: Minimum of (3) years of experience in leading, training, and mentoring sales or customer service groups preferably in a technical setting.

High School/GED required, Associates or Bachelor’s in Business or Marketing is preferred.
