Maintenance Manager

This is a Full-time position in Spokane, WA posted June 12, 2021.

Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment.

The employee can occasionally be exposed to hot or cold temperatures, and loud noise within the work area.

The environment will occasionally be moist or wet, and the use of chemicals is required.

Work involves occasionally lifting and carrying of materials and product up to 40 pounds.

While performing the responsibilities of the job, the employee is required to stand and use their hands and fingers, to handle or feel.

The employee is occasionally required to walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.

Occasional driving will be required.

Employee will be required to use computers, printers, telephone, and copiers.

Machinery operation requires the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to; eye safety glasses and hearing protectors.

The use of coveralls and hairnets (and/or beard nets) is required in working area.

Loose fitting clothes and jewelry are not permitted.

Job Summary:
The Maintenance Manager is responsible for the management and supervision of the maintenance department at Johanna Beverage Company, LLC.

These duties include the coordination and scheduling of repairs, work orders, and PM’s on all plant equipment for all shifts.

In addition, the Maintenance Manager will be required to help assure that all company manufactured and distributed products, and manufacturing/warehousing processes meet all legal, customer, consumer and SQF standards and specifications.

Manage, train and develop maintenance department personnel.

Ensure consistent communication and enforcement of company policies, quality standards, SQF, GMP’s, sanitation, and safety in a productive and efficient work place.

Ensure that all production equipment is maintained and repaired in a manner which meets company standards and minimizes downtime.

Coordinates with production the scheduling of repair and maintenance work.

Oversees the Preventative Maintenance and Work Order systems Purchases parts and supplies for maintenance department.

Maintains the spare parts inventory while ensuring minimum and maximum levels are met.

Develops and updates Working Instructions as needed Process all injury reports and correct any unsafe conditions in the work place as soon as possible.

Timely address personnel issues with Director of Maintenance and Human Resources.

Assist in repair and maintenance activities.

Maintain a clean and organized work area that promotes food safety, quality, personal safety and efficiency.

Performs other duties as assigned by Director of Maintenance or Vice President of Operations.

7-10 years maintenance management experience in a manufacturing environment required.

Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical and programming repairs.

Strong Knowledge of SQF, HACCP, GMP, sanitation and plant safety programs.

Solid analytical and problem solving skills.

Detail oriented and organized; able to manage multiple projects concurrently, set priorities and follow through.

Strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills.

Excellent PC skills with spreadsheet and word-processing software preferred.

Able to work varied shifts, including weekends.
