Parking and Ground Transportation Supervisor

Spokane International Airport

This is a Full-time position in Spokane, WA posted September 1, 2021.

Responsible for the oversight of assigned shift including personnel, facilities, equipment, and revenue control. Supervises Parking Customer Service Representatives and directs Administrative Assistants. Examples of Duties / Knowledge & SkillsAssigns tasks to employees on shift.Provides training and coaching to employees on shift.Monitors work schedules and employee attendance.Reconciles attendant revenue during shift to include cash drawers, check in/check out and procedural compliance.Performs preventative maintenance and basic repair on parking equipment; coordinates major repairs with vendors; and maintains equipment maintenance records.Provides excellent customer service and resolves customer issues and handles unusual circumstances.Reports losses, employee behavioral issues, serious customer complaints, and other significant issues to Parking & Ground Transportation Manager or Assistant Manager.Manages assigned projects related to Parking and Ground Transportation.Generates activity reports, analyzes information, and makes recommendations.Performs other duties as assigned. Minimum qualifications & RequirementsEducation/Experience:Associate Degree with courses in business, management, accounting, or related field.Three years customer service related experience involving tenants, customers, and/or employees. Parking experience preferred.Two years supervisory experience required. Preference shown for supervisory experience in a cash handling work environment.Mechanical, inventory control, and/or procurement experience beneficial.A combination of education and experience will be considered in meeting the requirements of this position.Must possess and maintain a valid state driver license, free of serious or frequent traffic violations.Knowledge/Skills: Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.Excellent communication skills both verbally and in writing. Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English. Must be able to produce and maintain accurate written reports.Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to establish good working relationships and provide excellent customer service. Must be able to interact with a diversity of people.Technical skills for reading and interpreting technical data.Computer skills including spreadsheet, database and word processing programs.Ability to operate required equipment and troubleshoot technical/mechanical problems.Ability to coordinate parking facility utilization, work independently and use good judgment. Physical Requirements:Wrist and hand movements required for frequent keyboarding and use of office equipment.Ability to perform close work to file, read and use computer required.Requires the ability to lift, carry, push and pull objects up to 50 pounds.Job function requires sitting and walking for extended periods, but also involve standing, stooping, kneeling, bending, lifting, carrying, and reaching.Able to move about facilities & all areas of responsibility including in and out of toll booths and shuttle vehiclesClose vision and ability to read small printAble to use hands to finger, handle, or feelAbility to continuously exchange information through listening and talking with customers, coworkers, and other individuals requiredThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an individual to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Supplemental informationWORKING CONTACTS WITH OTHERS (INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL):Regular contact with Airport management, employees, tenants, for-hire transportation personnel and the general public.WORKING CONDITIONS, TRAVEL, ENVIRONMENT AND POTENTIAL HAZARDS:Most work performed in office area, parking garages, outside lots, shuttle buses, and small, semi-enclosed toll booth. Occasional exposure to cold and hot weather, snow, rain, wind, vehicle traffic, noise, exhaust and occasional travel required. Must be available for shifts on weekdays and weekends.EQUIPMENT OPERATION REQUIRED:Revenue control equipment, personal computers, snow removal equipment, maintenance equipment, shuttle buses, and numerous electro-mechanical automated parking devices.
